ERGO Technology & Services S.A. in Warsaw seeks a senior engineer to deliver production-grade software and analytics services, with strong cloud experience and a proven enterprise track record.

You will build and integrate APIs and services (Streamlit, React, PowerBI) exposing data, analytics and AI capabilities, using Python, PySpark and SQL on Azure Databricks. Qualifications

• Fluent English
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or platform engineering, ideally in cloud-based environments
• Proven track record of delivering production-grade solutions in enterprise settings
• Strong understanding of software engineering, data engineering, and modern cloud development practices
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
• Understanding of software quality attributes, including security, scalability, reliability, performance, and observability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
• Ability to work effectively across disciplines, collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, analysts, and data scientists
• Proactive, collaborative, and ownership-driven working style
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions and engineering standards
• Feeling comfortable with working in an international environment

Responsibilities

• Develop production-grade software and services, not treating analytics and AI as isolated prototypes
• Build and integrate APIs and services (Streamlit, React, PowerBI) exposing data, analytics and AI to applications and business processes
• Use Python and PySpark and SQL to implement scalable processing and analytical workloads
• Develop solutions using Azure Cloud and Databricks, including storage, compute, orchestration and AI services
• Integrate AI/ML and GenAI capabilities, including Azure OpenAI and Azure Machine Learning where appropriate
• Take ownership of DevOps and CI/CD, including automated build, test, deployment and configuration of workloads
• Apply containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/AKS
• Engineer solutions for performance, scalability, reliability, security and cost efficiency
• Ensure appropriate data quality, security, governance and regulatory compliance
• Monitor production workloads, troubleshoot incidents and improve operational stability
• Collaborate with business owners, analysts, data scientists, architects, software engineers and platform/DevOps teams
• Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards, code reviews and reusable components
