Job summary

Fromjimmy is seeking a Senior Data Architect with Microsoft Purview to lead the design, configuration and operation of Purview in enterprise environments across EU projects. This hands-on role combines data architecture with governance design and client-facing consulting, including workshops and solution delivery from setup to day-to-day operation.

The position is a long-term contract for EU-based candidates with remote work options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture or governance.
• Hands-on experience implementing/ configuring Purview in enterprise environments.
• Strong metadata management skills including scanning, classifications, glossary, and lineage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Purview in enterprise client environments.
• Design data architecture and governance solutions with Purview at the core.
• Set up and manage metadata management: data source registration, scanning, classifications, business glossary, and lineage.
• Build and maintain the Data Catalog to enable data discovery across the organisation.
• Independently prepare and lead client workshops to gather requirements and align on solution design.
• Act as a consultant translating business needs into governance and Purview solutions.
• Assess design options and recommend pragmatic, scalable, standards-aligned solutions.
• Produce architecture and governance artefacts: design decisions, implementation and operating guidelines.
• Support the transition of Purview into day-to-day operation and guide team members.
