Job summary

TechTree is launching in Kraków and seeks a Senior Credit Analyst to join the underwriting team. You will review SME loan applications and make risk-based decisions, leveraging judgment beyond automated models.

You will mentor junior analysts, assess financial statements, and structure complex loans, including secured and unsecured options, while staying aware of economic trends impacting credit risk.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a Credit Analyst, Credit Underwriter, or similar senior role.
• Proven background in credit underwriting, ideally within business lending.
• Strong ability to assess risk without over-reliance on automated models.
• Experience making funding decisions for both secured and unsecured loans.
• Ability to interpret financial statements, with property-backed underwriting knowledge being a plus.
• Previous experience in alternative lending or non-bank financial services is desirable.
• A problem-solver who can structure complex loans outside traditional models.
• Leadership abilities, with experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts.
• Fluency in Polish and English (required).

Responsibilities

• Assess SME loan applications and make independent credit decisions with a balanced risk approach.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and risk indicators to determine creditworthiness.
• Structure lending solutions for both secured and unsecured loans, even when they fall outside traditional models.
• Review loan offers and provide insights on portfolio trends and risk exposure.
• Support process improvements and help shape best practices within the underwriting team.
• Stay informed on economic trends and how they impact credit risk assessment.
• Assist with hardship assessments and provide tailored solutions for clients when required.
• Act as a mentor to junior team members, sharing expertise and fostering development.
