Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Cyber Security senior for the GCIO Chief Control Office to advise on Cryptographic Services control and risk governance. You will partner with senior management to shape controls, improve data-driven risk decisions and support regulatory expectations across IT, risk management and operations.

With 5+ years in cyber risk or security controls, you will influence design of practical, compliant controls and build strong relationships across Cyber Security, Technology and Risk

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in cyber control capabilities, focusing on Cryptography & Key Management Security and Digital Identity & Certificate Management.
• Strong expertise in operational risk, non-financial risk and/or technology/information security risk.
• Experience across IT, Operations, Risk and/or Audit with risk management focus is desirable.
• Proven ability to improve processes and deliver on commitments.
• Financial services or highly regulated industry exposure is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and present complex issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to Cyber Security senior management and partner to manage CRYP controls.
• Promote data-driven risk and control decisions and challenge inadequate controls.
• Provide specialist insights to improve Cyber controls, CRYP, Cryptography & Key Management Security and Digital Identity & Certificate Management.
• Advise and design practical, commercially viable risk controls.
• Identify trends to anticipate developments in risk and control environments.
• Influence development of future-fit risk management and regulatory frameworks.
• Update Senior Management on policy or project changes affecting risk areas.
• Build strong relationships across Cyber Security, Technology and Risk & Control functions.
