Job summary

MAN Shared Services Center in Poznań is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist with German language proficiency (C1). You will manage cash applications, debt collection, and escalation processes while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in collections.
• German language proficiency at C1 level.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations.
• English language proficiency at B2 level.
• Knowledge of M365 tools (Excel, Power Point, Teams).
• Good knowledge of SAP R/3 modules SD and FI.
• Knowledge of collections software is an advantage.
• Experience with debit collection agencies and lawyers would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients proactively and establish new relationships.
• Oversee accurate cash application and debt collection processes.
• Manage bad debt portfolios and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Handle overdue receivables via contacts, dunning, and disputes.
• Escalate unpaid receivables as needed (sanctions, credit stops, litigation).
• Cooperate with internal teams and external agencies/lawyers.
• Prepare reports on overdue receivables, bad debts, and outcomes.
• Improve and standardize collection processes for efficiency.

Job description

As MAN Shared Services Center Sp. z o. o. (transforming into MAN Global Business Services Poland) we provide services in the field of accounting, finance, as well as orders and purchases for the needs of MAN Truck & Bus production and sales companies in Poland, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Hungary, Denmark, Norway and France.

MAN Shared Services Center Sp. z o.o. as one of the two oldest SSCs in Poznań, it is one of the co-founders of the regional branch of the ABSL association.

Currently we're looking for candidate for Senior Collections Specialist with German position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactive customer interaction incl. management and establishment of (new) client relationships
• Oversee accurate and timely cash application and debt collection processes
• Manage bad debt portfolios and ensure compliance with legal and fiscal requirements
• Actively managing overdue receivables through close contact with main customers, issuing of dunning letters, reminder e-mails and resolving customer disputes
• Responsible for escalations of unpaid receivables (sanctions, credit stops, potential litigation etc.)
• Ability to deal with litigation topics
• Effective cooperation with internal customers e.g. Branch and Sales Managers, Finance
• Effective working cooperation with debt recovery agency and lawyers
• Prepare reports on overdue receivables, bad debts, and collection outcomes
• Improve, optimize and standardize processes to enhance efficiency in collection management
• Proficient operation of cash collection softwar
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the area of collection
• German language proficiency at C1 level
• Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations
• Knowledge of the English language at B2 level
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders
• Knowledge of M365 tools (Excel, Power Point, Teams)
• Good knowledge of SAP R/3 module SD, FI
• Knowledge of collections software is an advantage
• In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, payment trends, and debt recovery processes
• Experience in cooperation with credit collection agencies and lawyers would be beneficial
