Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Krakow, Poland, is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to lead category strategy and supplier performance for assigned commodities. The role focuses on total cost, quality, delivery, and reliability through strong internal and external partnerships.

You will manage supplier relationships, develop long-term agreements, analyze data with tools like PowerBI, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Quality to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required (Preferably MBA or MS in any field of engineering).
• Minimum 4 years of procurement experience (complex engineering, EPC type projects).
• Minimum 2 years of negotiation experience (RFI/RFP/RFQ and contract development).
• Strong negotiating, benchmarking, market analysis, and procurement project management skills.
• Vendor management including PO issuance, execution, and administration.
• Experience analyzing quantitative data and drawing conclusions.
• Ability to engage at all organizational levels and build relationships.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, MS Access, Project, and Visio.
• ERP system experience (SAP & Ariba) beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Primary supplier relationship owner for assigned commodities.
• Manage spend segmentation to create levers for excellence.
• Maintain commodity strategy to meet goals by improving total cost.
• Own total cost while ensuring supply continuity and risk mitigation.
• Develop commodity strategy with long-term awards and improvements.
• Establish LTAs with year-over-year improvements.
• Review analytics from PowerBI and other tools to inform spend projections.
• Support SRM with strategic suppliers and leadership reviews.
• Create supplier relationship presentations and risk mitigation proposals.
• Support plans to deliver annual results on terms, delivery, productivity, inflation.
