Job summary

FAMED, part of Reinsberg Group, is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead direct procurement categories (hydraulics, actuators, castors), support new product development, and drive process improvements across the group.

You will own sourcing strategies, negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Operations and Finance in a dynamic international environment.

Qualifications

• Eight years or more of procurement experience required.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing and with international suppliers is advantageous.
• Fluency in Polish and English.

At FAMED, our focus is on medical products such as operating tables and hospital beds. We are looking for a Senior Category Manager to lead the direct procurement categories of hydraulics, actuators and castors, support new product development and drive procurement process improvements.

Your role

You will take ownership of procurement for selected categories, combining hands‑on sourcing and negotiation with process improvements and support for new product development. You will help secure reliable supply, optimize costs and strengthen supplier relationships across Reinsberg Group.

This is an opportunity to shape how procurement operates at FAMED while collaborating with purchasing colleagues and managing projects across Reinsberg Group.

Senior Category Manager (m/f)

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, identify alternative suppliers and run competitive RFQs.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and supply agreements, balancing cost, quality and delivery requirements.
• Manage key supplier relationships and monitor performance, addressing delivery, quality and supply risks.
• Work closely with Product Management, R&D, Operations and Finance on new requirements, product changes and purchasing decisions.
• Work with the existing purchasing team to improve procurement processes, spend visibility and savings tracking, creating more capacity for strategic sourcing.
• Lead joint sourcing and category initiatives across Reinsberg Group.
• At least eight years of procurement experience, with a track record of successful supplier negotiations and measurable commercial improvements.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing; familiarity with international suppliers and experience in MedTech or a related field are advantages.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with ERP systems, Excel and procurement data.
• A practical, proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership and work effectively across functions.
• Experience in improving procurement processes from both sourcing and systems perspectives.
• A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Fluency in Polish and English.
