BlueThrone is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own the core systems powering its analytics-driven music platform. You’ll design and scale backend services in Node.js and TypeScript, focusing on performance, reliability, and developer happiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building backend systems at real scale.
• Strong Node.js + TypeScript on the backend as the primary stack.
• Experience designing scalable architectures and REST APIs.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and Elasticsearch.
• Hands-on with Redis and RabbitMQ.
• Confidence around infrastructure: Nginx, Kubernetes, deployment pipelines.
• Go is a huge plus; willingness to pick it up if needed.

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve backend systems to support millions of active users and scale smoothly.
• Build clean, reliable APIs for the frontend to move fast with minimal friction.
• Work with complex data flows, caching, and messaging.
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks before users notice.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and data teams to ship quickly and iterate.
