Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – AI & Temporal to join our remote-friendly team. You will design and build backend services, focusing on AI-assisted development and Temporal workflow orchestration for a telecommunications platform.

The role requires 6+ years in software engineering, expertise with Temporal or Cadence, and strong backend fundamentals; you will work with AI tools, develop scalable APIs, and improve reliability and observability using OpenTelemetry, Grafana, and

Qualifications

6+ years of commercial experience in Software Engineering / Backend Development.
Hands-on experience with Temporal or Cadence.
Strong understanding of workflow orchestration concepts and asynchronous processing.
Experience with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
Ability to show concrete examples of AI improving development workflow.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable backend systems and services.
Build and maintain Temporal workflows and activities for complex business processes.
Design resilient solutions for long-running asynchronous processes.
Work with distributed systems, including retries and timeouts.
Design and optimize REST APIs and system integrations.
Use AI coding tools throughout the development lifecycle.
