Job summary

Talanto seeks a Senior AI Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines, warehouses, and lakes for financial data infrastructure. You will ensure data quality, regulatory compliance, and readiness for AI/ML workflows.

You will collaborate with AI Engineers and Data Scientists, work with real-time streaming platforms like Kafka or Spark Streaming, and contribute to cloud-based architecture in a hybrid Poland-based role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Data Engineer or AI Data Engineer role.
• Proficient in ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Spark, Kafka or Hadoop.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on cloud experience (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Understanding of ML workflows and data prep for AI models.
• Ability to handle batch and real-time processing.
• Finance/Banking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes for large-scale financial datasets.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare data for machine learning models and analytics.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to optimize training/inference pipelines.
• Work with real-time data platforms such as Kafka or Spark Streaming.
• Manage SQL and NoSQL databases for availability and performance.
• Monitor and optimize data flows and infrastructure performance.
• Contribute to cloud-based data architecture and ops.
• Document data workflows and best practices.
