Job summary

N-able is seeking a Senior Automation QE to join the Cove engineering team. You will own quality across the product lifecycle and work on high-impact backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities with Python-based automation and a C++ restore engine.

You will collaborate with an international team, work with AWS, VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, and SQL-based databases, and help raise the quality bar across the product with strong automation and testing practices.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on enterprise software QA experience.
• Deep understanding of QA processes and testing concepts.
• Proficient in Python-based automation.
• Experience with Windows internals and OS components.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and security fundamentals.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V/Azure).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of quality across the product lifecycle from requirements to end-to-end testing.
• Shape testing priorities and coordinate QA activities to support rapid releases.
• Design and maintain meaningful test cases, docs, and automated regression suites.
• Build and enhance Python-based automated tests to reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate components into a reliable solution.

We’re looking for a Senior Automation QE to join our Cove engineering team - a team working on high-impact backup, recovery, and disaster recovery capabilities that customers rely on when it matters most.

In this role, you’ll work with an international engineering group building critical Disaster Recovery services, combining Python 3 RESTful microservices with a C++ restore engine. It’s a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys complex systems, product ownership, and seeing their work directly improve reliability for customers around the world.

You’ll be close to modern cloud and infrastructure technologies, including AWS, VMware, Hyper-V, Microsoft Azure, and SQL-based database engines - with plenty of space to shape smarter automation, improve testability, and raise the quality bar across the product.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of quality across the product lifecycle, from requirements and test planning to feature, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Shape testing priorities and coordinate QA activities so the team can move quickly while maintaining high confidence in every release.
• Design and maintain meaningful test cases, documentation, and automated regression suites that genuinely improve product reliability.
• Build and enhance Python-based automated tests, helping the team reduce manual effort and strengthen automation coverage.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to integrate complex components into a reliable, scalable, customer-ready solution.
• Investigate customer issues, support root cause analysis, and turn learnings into stronger prevention and better product quality.
• Bring ideas, challenge assumptions, and help evolve QA practices, testability, and engineering efficiency across the Cove product.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise software QA, with the confidence to take ownership of complex quality activities.
• Deep understanding of QA processes, testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Solid experience with test automation principles and hands-on automation development in Python.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating system internals, including file systems, registry, event logs, boot sequence, and services.
• Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security fundamentals.
• Practical experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.

This position has a base monthly salary starting from 19,075.00 PLN gross. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for a bonus
