Job summary

Avenga invites a Senior Java QA Automation Engineer to join a project for a large European banking group. You will design, implement, and maintain automated tests across UI, API, and integration layers in a highly regulated environment.

This role requires strong Java, Selenium or Playwright, REST testing, and CI/CD familiarity; the contract is a Polish employment contract (UoP) for six months with a possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java.
• Commercial experience with Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Experience in API testing using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and integration testing.
• Experience with JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
• Good SQL skills and experience working with databases.
• Experience with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Execute UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Validate business processes and workflow automation implemented in Camunda.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product stakeholders, and QA team members.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause investigations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and automation coverage.
• Support quality assurance activities within CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure high standards of software quality across the entire development lifecycle.

We are looking for a Senior Java QA Automation Engineer to join a project for a large European banking group.

You will contribute to the quality of complex enterprise applications used within a highly regulated financial environment. The role involves developing and maintaining automated tests across UI, API, and integration layers, as well as validating business workflows and processes implemented with Camunda.

You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure the reliability of interconnected systems and support continuous improvement of test automation coverage.

The position is offered exclusively under a Polish employment contract (UoP), initially for six months, with the possibility of extension.

This is you

You have:

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation
