Job summary

Techland Sp. z o. o. in Poland, with studios in Wroclaw and Warsaw, seeks a senior Gameplay Programmer to own gameplay and cinematic animation features. You will collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality animation workflows and optimized performance in a large open-world project.

The role requires deep C/C++ expertise, strong problem-solving, and English proficiency, with opportunities to influence engine-level animation tooling and pipelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of professional programming experience.
• Expertise in C/C++ and strong debugging skills.
• Experience with multi-threaded and allocator-aware programming.
• Experience with memory and performance optimization.
• Experience with animation graphs, blend trees and state machines (Unreal, Havok Animation, Morpheme or similar).
• Solid understanding of 3D maths and linear algebra; good software design sense.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, extensible code; strong communication and initiative.
• Very good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Researching, developing, maintaining, and improving gameplay and cinematic animation systems.
• Taking ownership of features from tools to engine runtime.
• Collaborating with programmers, designers, and artists to optimize workflows.
• Raising the quality bar for animations in the game.
• Profiling and eliminating bottlenecks in data pipelines and tools.
• Creating documentation for gameplay and animation teams.
• Staying updated on animation tech trends.
