Job summary

instinctools is seeking a Senior Android Engineer for a client in the mobility space. You will design, implement, and maintain Android features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs within a microservices architecture, focusing on geo capabilities and real-time location tracking.

Collaborate with backend, QA, and analytics to integrate maps, routing, geofencing, and location services, while improving performance, reliability, and test coverage through CI/CD and code reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Android development with Kotlin.
• Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose and modern Android APIs.
• Experience with location-based features: maps, geofencing, real-time tracking.
• Experience with performance optimization and testing practices.
• CI/CD workflows and code quality tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android features end-to-end.
• Build geo-specific features: pickup/drop-off, live tracking, routing, and map integration.
• Develop UI with Jetpack Compose following Clean Architecture and MVVM/MVI patterns.
• Integrate APIs, map SDKs, and third-party data.
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks; ensure quality via tests and reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and participate in Agile ceremonies.
