Software Mind is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to build and maintain native apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. You will collaborate across product, backend, design, and QA to implement robust features, location-based services, and secure data handling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing native Android apps with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience implementing location services and push notifications.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0/OIDC, session management and secure credential storage.
• Experience integrating third-party libraries.
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining unit and UI tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Scrum practices.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
• English at C1 level as working language with client.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the native Android app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with product managers, backend developers, designers, and stakeholders on requirements and estimates.
• Ensure app usability, performance, and adaptivity across devices.
• Optimize speed, stability and scalability of the app.
• Implement authentication, session management and secure data storage.
• Implement location-based features and location-triggered notifications.
• Investigate production issues, perform crash/root-cause analysis and deploy hotfixes.
• Add monitoring and analytics for the app.
• Support localization and accessibility across languages.
• Write and maintain unit and UI tests; contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Own features end-to-end, review code and participate in design discussions.
• Update internal knowledge base and docs.
