Job summary

Schibsted & Vend Polska seeks an experienced Senior Android Developer in Kraków, Poland. You will own the Android app, lead the migration to Jetpack Compose, and help shape a Kotlin Multiplatform strategy, collaborating with iOS and backend teams to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup with two days per week in the office, ensuring reliable releases and scalable architecture while learning and growing with the Nordic tech ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architecture.
• Experience maintaining and modernizing production Android apps without disrupting users.
• Solid understanding of the Android lifecycle, app performance, and stability.
• Experience with CI/CD and mobile app release processes.
• Interest in Kotlin Multiplatform and sharing code across Android and iOS.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve our Android app, from features to performance and releases.
• Drive our transition to Jetpack Compose and tackle integration challenges.
• Shape our Kotlin Multiplatform architecture with shared networking and data models.
• Collaborate across Android and iOS, contributing to the shared KMP layer.
• Make architectural decisions balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to implement practical solutions.
• Explore AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve the development process.
