Job summary

Imagine Worldwide is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to scale and run its analytics platform, including infrastructure, pipelines and core data models. You will work with data from tablets across Africa and other sources, balancing performance and cost in a small team.

You’ll own ingestion, processing and transformation, build robust Airflow workflows, develop dbt models in ClickHouse, and help shape architectural decisions with the Director of Analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years in data/platform or software engineering roles with distributed data processing.
• Experience with large-scale datasets (billions of records) and cost-aware design.
• Experience managing cloud infra for data workloads and working in small, cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the analytics platform on AWS and ClickHouse Cloud.
• Develop and optimize ingestion pipelines (Glue, Airbyte, Lambda) and Spark jobs.
• Create and maintain dbt models and Airflow workflows with proper tests and contracts.
• Ensure reliability, cost control and security across the data platform.
