Job summary

Affirm is hiring an Analytics Engineer to maintain and optimize the finance data platform, ensuring reliable pipelines and scalable datasets. You will own data models, testing, and documentation while partnering with engineering and finance stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in analytics or data engineering, strong SQL and dbt skills, and experience with Snowflake in a GitHub-driven workflow. Remote-first, Poland-based roles are available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar roles working with production data systems.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building in dbt (modeling, testing, documentation).
• Experience operating in a modern development workflow: Git and pull-request collaboration (GitHub preferred).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred).
• Ownership mindset and comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dbt models and core datasets supporting Accounting reporting and automation.
• Improve platform reliability with testing, alerting, and runbooks.
• Own and document data pipelines and lineage for auditable changes.
• Troubleshoot production data issues and drive root-cause fixes.
• Optimize performance and cost in Snowflake/dbt for scaling needs.
