Biogen Poland is seeking a (Senior) Analyst, EU VAT & Accounting to join the VAT Center of Excellence. You will prepare VAT returns, EC Listings, and Intrastat reports across European entities, while performing month-end reconciliations and maintaining documentation.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and support special VAT projects. The role emphasizes accuracy, persistence, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years in international accounting, finance operations, or VAT.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations; Oracle experience is an advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Fluent English; German is an asset.

About This Role

As a (Senior) Analyst, EU VAT & Accounting, you will be part of the VAT Center of Excellence Team, supporting VAT compliance activities for Biogen entities registered across multiple European countries. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and gathering information from system-generated reports to support VAT reporting, reconciliations, and compliance processes. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely VAT filings while maintaining a high standard of documentation and compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and support the submission of VAT returns across European jurisdictions.


• Prepare EC Listings and ensure accurate reporting of intra-community transactions.


• Prepare Intrastat reports in accordance with local regulatory requirements.


• Perform month-end VAT reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed.


• Maintain VAT documentation folders, ensuring that all supporting documents are appropriately saved, organized, and signed.


• Support additional VAT compliance activities and special projects as required.


• Work closely with accounting, tax, and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with VAT regulations and internal controls.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in international accounting, finance operations, or VAT compliance.


• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance processes; Oracle experience is considered an advantage.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Exposure to European VAT reporting requirements, including EC Listings and Intrastat reporting.


• Experience working within multinational organizations and cross-functional teams.
