Job summary

Biogen seeks a (Senior) Analyst, EU VAT & Accounting, to join the VAT Center of Excellence team in Poland. You will support VAT returns, EC Listings, intrastat reporting, and month-end reconciliations for multiple European entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

You will collaborate with accounting, tax, and business stakeholders, manage documentation, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, international environment. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years in international accounting or VAT compliance.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations; Oracle experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with colleagues at all levels.
• Excel proficiency and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Fluent English; German skills are an asset.

About This Role

As a (Senior) Analyst, EU VAT & Accounting, you will be part of the VAT Center of Excellence Team, supporting VAT compliance activities for Biogen entities registered across multiple European countries. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and gathering information from system-generated reports to support VAT reporting, reconciliations, and compliance processes. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely VAT filings while maintaining a high standard of documentation and compliance.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and support the submission of VAT returns across European jurisdictions.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in international accounting, finance operations, or VAT compliance.
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance processes; Oracle experience is considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently, responsibly, and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Accountability and ownership of work performed.
• Ability to understand and navigate complex workflows and business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a shared services, corporate tax, or finance environment.
• Exposure to European VAT reporting requirements, including EC Listings and Intrastat reporting.
• Experience working within multinational organizations and cross-functional teams.
