Job summary

Trax Retail is seeking an AI Software Engineer to develop production-grade ML/DL models and vision-language systems for global retail imagery. You will work on AR-enabled, edge-deployed solutions, balancing algorithmic innovation with robust, scalable software practices.

You will join an engineering-first team with strong emphasis on code quality, testing, and cross-functional collaboration in an international setting.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying ML/DL models in production or applied R&D.
• CV & math foundations: strong vision, algebra, calculus, 2D/3D geometry and graphics.
• Multimodal & Generative AI: practical experience with LLMs/VLMs and prompting techniques.
• Core tech: Python, Keras, TensorFlow, JAX, and standard software tools.
• Research-to-Product mindset: ability to turn ideas into robust production features.
• Communication: fluent English in a distributed international team.
• Software engineering practices: clean code, tests, Git, Jira, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and fully-tested production code with strong code reviews.
• Develop and optimize deep learning models and VLMs for retail scenes.
• Design AR and spatial features bridging CV and graphics for real-time use.
• Profile and optimize edge and on-device deployment for latency constraints.
• Experiment with multimodal LLMs and prompting techniques for automation.
• Improve algorithms for robustness and global scalability.
