Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Scientist to design and build scalable AI solutions embedded with business units across the bank. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver agentic AI applications that drive value while upholding ethical and sustainable practices.

The role combines deep technical work with enterprise impact, involving collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders across multiple Nordic and European locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Data Science, Statistics or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and Python proficiency with 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML deployment experience.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for deploying AI/ML/data services at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and scale AI applications from concept to production.
• Translate business problems into machine learning problems in collaboration with engineers and product teams.
• Contribute to full modeling lifecycle: framing, hypothesis, model selection, experimentation and iteration.
• Develop and implement advanced ML models and agentic solutions for business use cases.
• Explore emerging AI methods and build proofs of concept for Nordea's use cases.
