Job summary

Billennium is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive AI/LLM solutions for a global pharma client. You will lead discovery, experiments, and production implementations, building reusable Python components and AI-powered applications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering LLM- or ML-powered features into production.
• Strong Python programming and production-ready software skills.
• Hands-on with RAG, structured outputs, information extraction workflows.
• Experience with evaluation, experimentation, and error analysis.
• Able to work with large, unstructured datasets and design reusable components.
• Takes ownership of solution delivery and communicates with stakeholders.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and experimentation for applied AI and ML use cases.
• Evaluate AI approaches using real-world datasets and document findings.
• Collaborate with domain experts to design evaluation datasets and metrics.
• Develop structured data extraction capabilities with Large Language Models.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Build entity resolution and matching for complex datasets.
• Transform prototypes into reusable Python-based components and services.
• Contribute to data pipelines and AI-powered applications across the org.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders to scope features.
• Own technical decisions, project plans, timelines, and risk management.
• Improve solution quality via evaluation, monitoring, and error analysis.
