Billennium is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive AI and LLM initiatives for a global pharmaceutical client. The role emphasizes production-grade AI, experimentation, and scalable solutions in a highly regulated environment.

Ideal candidates combine hands-on applied AI experience with strong Python skills and the ability to own end-to-end delivery, from discovery to production, across data pipelines and software components.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering LLM- or ML-powered features into production environments.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on with RAG, structured LLM outputs, and applied AI solutions.
• Experience with unstructured datasets and evaluation techniques.
• Able to design reusable software components.
• Excellent collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and experimentation for applied AI and ML use cases.
• Evaluate AI approaches using real-world datasets.
• Collaborate with domain experts to design evaluation datasets and metrics.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Build entity resolution and matching frameworks.
• Transform prototypes into reusable Python components and services.
• Contribute to AI-powered data pipelines and applications.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to scope features.
• Own technical decisions, plans, timelines, risks.
• Improve solution quality through evaluation and monitoring.
