Job summary

Aura is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its AI Intelligence Platform. You will own end-to-end architecture for scalable, secure systems running primarily in Python and TypeScript on AWS, enabling AI agents to reason over sensitive data.

You’ll lead technical directions, mentor engineers, and ensure privacy and security are foundational, while delivering high‑quality, observable software for millions of Aura customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and shipping large-scale distributed systems.
• End-to-end ownership from architecture to production operations.
• Strong knowledge of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with cloud tech and choosing the right tool for the job.
• Experience handling sensitive or regulated data with privacy as a design constraint.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-evolving AI landscape.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and drive architecture for key platform components.
• Own complex initiatives from design through deployment and iteration.
• Build the foundation unifying Aura's data for trusted intelligence.
• Architect how AI agents access sensitive data with least-privilege isolation.
• Build systems turning intelligence into personalized insights and actions.
• Make high-leverage technology choices balancing scale, cost, and simplicity.
• Champion security, privacy, observability, testing, and operational excellence.
• Serve as a technical mentor on design challenges and reliability.
