Job summary

Relativity, a leading legal data intelligence company, seeks an Advanced AI Engineer to build and extend its agent runtime on the Agent Harness team. You will work hands-on with LangGraph, LangChain, and Deep Agents to tailor runtimes for Relativity’s AI products and ensure production-ready capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python.
• Experience building LLM-powered or agentic systems with LangChain/LangGraph.
• Good design instincts: writing clean, testable code and contributing to component design.
• Strong async Python, API/service design, and PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Experience delivering cloud-native systems with CI/CD and Docker; Kubernetes familiarity.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering; English proficiency for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend the Python-based agent runtime with LangGraph/LangChain.
• Implement harness capabilities: streaming, structured output, tool calling, human-in-the-loop review, memory and checkpoint/resume for long-running work.
• Develop MCP tool servers/clients, A2A interoperability, and a registry of runtime-configured skills/tools.
• Expose models that fit diverse use cases across multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Gemini).
• Write clean, well-tested code and own components through production release.
• Collaborate with AI/Applied Science teams to move capabilities from experiment to production safely.
