Job summary

flyer-one-ventures is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to own features from database to UI in a fast-growing AI-native squad. You will work on the backend with PHP/Laravel or Node.js/NestJS and on the frontend with React and TypeScript, all deployable on AWS.

You will leverage AI coding assistants and automated testing as core tools, collaborate with product and design in a small squad, and help evolve our AI-enabled engineering practices and toolchain. Remote-ready and startup-paced.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on backend (PHP/Laravel) and frontend (React/TypeScript) development.
• Experience with AWS and relational databases is required.
• Strong API design skills (REST or GraphQL).
• Comfort with AI-assisted development workflows and testing.
• Excellent async written communication and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver features end-to-end across the full stack.
• Design, build, and operate production systems in payroll-related domain.
• Use AI coding tools as daily force multiplier.
• Write and maintain automated tests with AI-assisted generation.
• Participate in lean team rituals and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product and design to scope and prioritize work.
• Contribute to AI-augmented engineering practices and toolchain.
• Take shared ownership of monitoring, alerts, and on-call rotations.
