Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Senior AI Data Software Engineer to join our Data Competency Center. You will work on diverse projects spanning financial, healthcare, insurance and more, applying data ingestion, processing, and AI development across leading cloud platforms.

You will implement data ingestion from RDBMS, REST APIs, flat files, streams, and time series data; use Spark, Databricks, and cloud services; collaborate with data scientists and IT professionals; contribute to data

Qualifications

4+ years of software development experience with Data Software Engineering technologies.
Advanced knowledge of Python.
Proficiency with Spark and Databricks.
Experience with Azure, AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
Experience with AI development tools (Claude Code, Github Copilot, Cursor).
Strong understanding of data formats (JSON, Parquet, Avro).
Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB).
Proficiency in data warehousing and ETL processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent English (B2+) communication.

Responsibilities

Implement data ingestion from diverse sources (RDBMS, REST APIs, flat files, streams, time series, SAP).
Process and transform data using Spark, Databricks and cloud services.
Develop dashboards and validate data integrity.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and IT professionals.
Provide leadership on data software engineering best practices and trends.
Ensure data source security and reliability.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade data systems and applications.
