Job summary

AkzoNobel Car Refinishes Polska Sp. z o.o. is seeking an experienced Accounting Controller (Record-to-Report) to lead end-to-end financial accounting and reporting for multiple legal entities.

The role ensures accurate financial statements, statutory compliance, and coordinated audits, while supporting regional accounting operations in a shared services setup. The position requires strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on ownership, and close collaboration with business units, GBS teams,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or Record-to-Report operations.
• Master’s degree or CA qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
• Experience with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP and HFM.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing activities for multiple entities.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS, Local GAAP, and internal policies.
• Oversee general ledger, intercompany, fixed asset, and treasury accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and support tax assessments and filings.
• Analyze Balance Sheet and P&L accounts, resolving accounting issues and ensuring reporting accuracy.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across accounting operations.
• Partner with business units, GBS teams, auditors, and stakeholders on accounting and financial matters.
