Job summary

Getinge Shared Service Poland in Krakow seeks an experienced SSC Accountant to support RtR/GL processes. You will handle journal entries, reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and Cognos reporting, contributing to month-end closings and internal controls. Strong Excel skills and English proficiency are required.

The role requires 4+ years in SSC accounting, SAP knowledge is a plus, and the ability to work flexible hours to align with East Coast US time during month-end.

Qualifications

• Education in finance or accounting or economics or controlling.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Office.
• Excellent written and spoken English (min B2).
• Experience in accounting within SSC/RtR/GL environment (4+ years).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience with SAP is an asset.
• Experience in transitioning new processes is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Meet deadlines consistently while delivering quality.
• Process Journal Entries, Fixed Assets and bank statements.
• Perform accounts reconciliations and analyze differences.
• Handle intercompany accounting (AP invoices, AR invoices, ICR balance reconciliation).
• Provide Balance Sheet and Income Statement reporting in Cognos.
• Support month-end closing and internal control tasks.
• Prepare daily and ad-hoc reporting and requests.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Business Partners and team members.

Your responsibilities

• Consistently meets deadlines and demonstrates quality
• Processing transactions such as Journal Entries, Fixed Assets and bank statements
• Performing accounts’ reconciliations, analyzing and clarifying differences
• Being responsible for intercompany accounting (AP invoices, issuing AR invoices, ICR balance reconciliation, netting settlements)
• Balance Sheet and Income Statement reporting in Cognos
• Month-end closing and internal control tasks
• Prepares daily and ad-hoc reporting and requests
• Contributes to creation and maintenance of process documentation
• Close cooperation with Business Partners and Team members

Our requirements

• Economic background education (finance/accounting/economy/controlling)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• English (written and oral) - required min. B2 level
• Relevant experience in accounting in SSC environment (min. 4 years), including RtR/General Ledger area (min. 3 year)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Analytical mindset and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and toward deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP will be a strong asset
• Experience in transition of new processes will be a strong asset
• Working time according to East Coast US time (14:00-22:00) at least 4 days per month (month end close period)
