Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to join our Security Operations Command Center, defending our DDoS mitigation platform and handling real-time platform and carrier issues for major brands.

You will analyze traffic and systems, tailor security solutions, and communicate findings to customers while supporting complex network challenges and connectivity issues. Night shifts may be required in some schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, and web servers.
• Customer-facing experience and understanding of the consulting process.
• Proactive with urgency and a strong desire to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and collaboration.
• Ability to communicate complex technical content in English.
• Ability to work night shifts.

As part of our Security Operations team, you will be responsible for responding to platform and carrier issues in real time. Ensuring the stability of a world-class DDoS attack mitigation platform, providing analysis and network troubleshooting for customers. You will be supporting some of the world's leading brands and dealing with the highest internet traffic.

As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Engaging in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks
• Analysing customer traffic, applications and systems to tailor our security solutions and answer customers security needs
• Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on your mitigation and analysis
• Providing support to customers to remedy and resolve network and connectivity issues
• Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on your mitigation and analysis
