Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Network Provisioning Engineer / Security Architect to deliver security solutions for global customers. You will own the integration, configuration, debugging, documentation and go-live processes, and tailor protections to customer traffic.

You will design and verify network solutions including GRE/IPsec, ACLs, and FlowSpec, ensuring anti-DDOS readiness and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Internet technologies and common network protocols.
• Hands-on knowledge of routing devices (Cisco/Juniper).
• Experience explaining complex topics to customers and guiding implementations.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go-live) of our Security Solutions
• Analysing customer traffic and tailoring Akamai security solutions to address issues
• BGP FlowSpec, ACL design, traffic baseline profiling, GRE/IPsec tunneling, and network topology analysis
• Ensuring anti DDOS solutions are configured and provisioned correctly for customers
• Collaborating with cross-functional project teams to scope, timelines, and technical solutions
• Participating in ongoing training to develop skills

As part of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of our security solutions. You will take care of the integration and traffic analysis. You will be creating innovative solutions for our global based customers.

As a Network Provisioning Engineer / Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Owning the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go-live) of our Security Solutions
• Analysing customer traffic as well as systems and customising Akamai security solutions to answer customers' security issues
• BGP FlowSpec, ACL design, traffic baseline profiling, GRE/IPsec tunneling, and network topology analysis
• Ensuring our anti DDOS solutions are configured and provisioned correctly for our customers
• Collaborating with cross-functional project team to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions, and support the ongoing implementation
• Participating in ongoing training initiatives to develop your skills

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS and web servers
• Show experience managing and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routers and switches
• Have experience with network protocols such as GRE/BGP
• Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process to ensure customer success
• Show proactivity and work with a sense of urgency combined with constant desire to learn
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be an accountable member of the team
• Demonstrate written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content in English
