Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH in Kraków, Poland, is seeking a Network Provisioning Engineer / Security Architect to join our Professional Services Team. You will own the integration of Akamai security solutions, analyze customer traffic, and tailor configurations to defend against attacks.

This role requires strong Internet tech experience (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS), hands-on routing with Cisco/Juniper gear, and the ability to explain complex concepts in English to clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS and web servers.
• Proven experience managing and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routers and switches.
• Ability to communicate complex technical content in English to customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go-live) of our Security Solutions.
• Analyze customer traffic and customize Akamai security solutions to address security issues.
• Design and implement GRE/IPsec tunneling, BGP FlowSpec, ACLs, traffic profiling, and network topology analysis.
• Ensure anti-DDOS solutions are configured and provisioned correctly for customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope, plan timelines, create technical solutions, and support implementations.
• Participate in training initiatives to develop skills.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of our security solutions. You will take care of the integration and traffic analysis. You will be creating innovative solutions for our global based customers.

As a Network Provisioning Engineer / Security Architect, you will be responsible for:

• Owning the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing, go-live) of our Security Solutions
• Analysing customer traffic as well as systems and customising Akamai security solutions to answer customers' security issues
• BGP FlowSpec, ACL design, traffic baseline profiling, GRE/IPsec tunneling, and network topology analysis
• Ensuring our anti DDOS solutions are configured and provisioned correctly for our customers
• Collaborating with cross-functional project team to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions, and support the ongoing implementation
• Participating in ongoing training initiatives to develop your skills

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, DNS and web servers
• Show experience managing and troubleshooting Cisco and Juniper routers and switches
• Have experience with network protocols such as GRE/BGP
• Demonstrate experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process to ensure customer success
• Show proactivity and work with a sense of urgency combined with constant desire to learn
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be an accountable member of the team
• Demonstrate written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content in English
