Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect to join our Security Operations Command Center, defending our DDoS mitigation platform and handling real-time platform and carrier issues for major brands.

You will analyze traffic and systems, tailor security solutions, and communicate findings to customers while supporting complex network challenges and connectivity issues. Night shifts may be required in some schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, and web servers.
• Customer-facing experience and understanding of the consulting process.
• Proactive with urgency and a strong desire to learn.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and collaboration.
• Ability to communicate complex technical content in English.
• Ability to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Engage in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks.
• Analyse customer traffic, applications and systems to tailor security solutions.
• Communicate with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on mitigation and analysis.
• Provide support to customers to remedy and resolve network and connectivity issues.
