Job summary

Akamai Technologies GmbH in Kraków is seeking a Security Architect II to join the Security Operations Command Center. You will respond to platform and carrier issues in real time, helping ensure the stability of Akamai's DDoS mitigation platform and analyzing network traffic for customers.

You will work with a cross-functional team to tailor security solutions, support implementations, and communicate results to customers, with night shifts required and excellent English language skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with Internet technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS and web servers.
• Experience in a customer-facing role and an understanding of the consulting process.
• Proactivity and urgency with a constant desire to learn.
• Good communication and collaboration skills and an accountable team member.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills in English.
• Ability to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Engaging in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks.
• Analysing customer traffic, applications and systems to tailor our security solutions and answer customers security needs.
• Collaborating with a cross-functional project team to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions, and support the implementation.
• Providing support to customers to remedy and resolve network and connectivity issues.
• Communicating with customers regarding challenges and providing updates and results on mitigation and analysis.
