Job summary

Akamai's Information Security team safeguards Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. As a Security Architect, you will design and evolve scalable security architectures, lead practical implementations, and collaborate across engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver data-driven security solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security data-related solutions across large-scale enterprise environments.
• Hands-on system and application development, OS and cloud architecture expertise.
• Knowledge of network security, detection and response, threat management, vulnerability scanning.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and evolving scalable security architectures and data-driven solutions that improve vulnerability visibility and attack surface management.
• Leading the implementation of practical security solutions that emphasize sustainable systems and measurable outcomes.
• Exploring complex systems and data sources to identify integration opportunities and strengthen security capabilities through innovation.
• Collaborating with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to translate technical challenges into actionable solutions for diverse audiences.
• Driving ownership and continuous improvement while mentoring engineers through technical leadership.
