Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking a school bus driver to transport students safely to and from school using Zūm’s technology platform. You will operate modern buses and follow all policies while ensuring a positive environment for students.

Qualified candidates have at least a high school diploma, 5+ years driving in a passenger vehicle, and a clean driving record. CDL training is provided for non-certified drivers; evening/weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL with P and S endorsements is required for certified drivers; 5+ years of driving in a passenger vehicle.
• For non-certified drivers, valid driver’s license with 5+ years of driving in a passenger vehicle and willingness to obtain CDL (training provided).
• Clean driving record; ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate assigned vehicles and follow all company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; promptly report any issues
• Maintain and follow routes and schedules with professionalism and punctuality
• Create a safe, positive environment by managing student behavior and ensuring all passengers’ safety

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum age: 21 years
• High school diploma or equivalent
• For certified drivers: Valid CDL with P and S endorsements + additional certifications required by your state for legal school bus operation and 5+ years of driving experience in a passenger vehiclerequired (WAC 392-144-101)
• For non-certified drivers: Valid driver's license with 5+ years of driving experience in a passenger vehicle required (WAC 392-144-101)
• Willingness to obtain CDL (training provided for non-certified)
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
• Ability to work split shifts (AM/PM) daily
• Excellent communication skills and a passage to working with children
