Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a seasoned SAP CAP Java Team Leader to drive the development of services within the SAP Business Network.

You will lead a team, oversee design, prototyping, and deployment, and collaborate with stakeholders across development, QA, and UX to deliver scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in software development with at least 1 year in people leadership, strong Java Spring Boot, SAP UI5, CAP CDS, API-first design, and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional software development experience.
• At least 1 year in people management for a team of 5+ FTEs.
• Deep knowledge of design patterns and data structures.
• Experience building web APIs and coordinating a development team.
• API-first design using Swagger, GraphQL and REST.
• Fiori-based skills: SAPUI5, oData, CAP CDS.
• Mastery of Java Spring Boot and web services.
• Hana DB familiarity; relational databases.
• GitHub, Jenkins, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet, Chef.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Jira.
• Agile development with Git/GitHub/GitLab and strong English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development team in building commercial software solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams including development, QA, and UX.
• Help the team analyze, research, and resolve production issues and customer requests.
• Assess severity and scope of production problems and maintain accountability until resolved.
• Organize and address multiple production issues and requests across sources.
