Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a SAP Ariba specialist to provide advanced support for Ariba solutions within a global biotech setting. The role is hybrid with 3 days in the Warsaw office, requiring 4+ years of Ariba experience and strong collaboration with SAP experts and partners.

You will drive issue resolution, coordinate releases, and contribute to process improvements across procurement and integration layers.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years hands-on SAP Ariba experience with configuration and application support.
• Experience with multiple Ariba solutions (Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance, Buying, Invoicing).
• Understanding of software delivery practices, Agile, and secure development principles.
• Experience supporting ITSM processes: incident, request, change, and problem management.
• Involvement in testing, deployment, release coordination, and implementation activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced functional and application support for SAP Ariba solutions.
• Analyze recurring issues, identify underlying causes, and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Ariba functionality per business requirements.
• Coordinate incident and problem investigations with documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Act as escalation point for high-priority issues and work with SAP experts and partners.
• Monitor and improve integrations, data quality, and end-to-end process performance.
• Participate in application releases, enhancements, upgrades, and post-deployment validation.
• Create and maintain operational procedures, knowledge articles, and process documentation.
• Facilitate post-incident reviews and contribute to service improvement plans.
• Support troubleshooting of interfaces, data synchronization, and system integration failures.
• Assess change impacts and support testing activities including regression and UAT.

The Successful Applicant

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience with SAP Ariba, including system configuration and application support.
• Practical knowledge of multiple Ariba solutions, such as Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance, Buying, and Invoicing.
• Understanding of software delivery practices, Agile ways of working, and secure development principles.
• Experience supporting ITSM processes, including incident, request, change, and problem management.
• Involvement in testing, deployment, release coordination, and implementation activities.
• Strong understanding of procurement operations, sourcing processes, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration technologies, APIs, and middleware solutions.
• Experience investigating issues spanning SAP Ariba and connected ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working with service management and work tracking tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Knowledge of data exchange concepts, including APIs, IDocs, and related integration mechanisms.
