Job summary

HeadHR in Kraków is seeking a sanctions screening specialist to review cross-border payments, securities-related transactions and manual payments using the designated screening tool.

You will investigate system alerts in line with global sanctions policy, use World-Check One and other sources, document outcomes and maintain audit trails while meeting SLAs.

The role includes collaboration with internal and offshore teams, flexible working hours, healthcare benefits, and parking.

Qualifications

• Understanding of payment systems, transaction processing and sanctions-screening principles.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and sound judgment for fast decision-making.
• Ability to work under time pressure, meet tight deadlines and SLAs, and learn quickly.
• Strong work organisation, written and verbal communication, and a customer-service mindset.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and support colleagues.
• Fluent English.
• Nice to have: German language skills.
• Nice to have: Experience in banking, finance or accounting.

Responsibilities

• Screen cross-border payments, securities-related transactions, manual payments, and customer or name records using the designated screening tool.
• Review and investigate system-generated alerts in line with global sanctions policy and determine whether they are false positives or potential matches.
• Use customer databases, including World-Check One, and reliable external sources to support investigations.
• Document outcomes, maintain an audit trail, support QA reviews, and escalate issues when needed.
• Meet defined deadlines, SLAs, productivity and quality targets while resolving open issues with internal and offshore teams.
