Job summary

Citigroup in Poland is seeking a Sanctions Screening specialist within Citi Solutions Center Poland. The role focuses on verification against sanctions requirements, collaboration with bank units, and maintaining strict compliance by tracking and escalating issues as needed.

Sanction Screening HUB is a specialized unit providing sanction control services. HUB was created in June 2015 - since then we consistently expand the list of types of services and the scope of countries. The team places special emphasis on providing the highest quality services combined with timely performance, while ensuring that operational activities are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Global Sanctions Policy.

Key tasks performed on the position:

• Perform verification of transactions and documentation against sanctions requirements within defined timelines
• Collaborate with other bank units
• Ensure compliance with the procedures and rules prevailing at Citi
• Active order management from receipt to completion (status tracking, handling queries, sending reminders)
• Identify and escalate issues encountered during daily activities
• Provide support to other teams as directed by the manager
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and reporting control issues with transparency

Requirements:

• Experience in sanctions or a related area (AML, KYC, Compliance) will be an asset
• Good command of English, both written and spoken (B2 or higher)
• Ability to work independently and strong attention to detail
• Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service quality
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tight deadlines
• Readiness to work in shifts (early – 7:00 AM, mid – 9:00 AM, late – 11:30 AM), including public holidays
