Job summary

Avon in Poland is seeking an experienced RTR Supervisor to lead our Record to Report team across CELL markets. You will drive high-quality financial reporting, manage a multi-country close, strengthen internal controls, and mentor a capable accounting group in a dynamic, international finance function.

The role combines people leadership with technical accounting expertise, IFRS knowledge, and process improvements, offering a challenging, collaborative environment in Warsaw.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Finance or Accounting in multinational setting.
• Experience with RTR and month-end close.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Leadership and coaching experience.
• Professional English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervising RTR Accountants across accounting areas.
• Manage month-end close calendar and deadlines.
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation entries.
• Review revenue, cost accounting, accruals and reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting and obsolescence provisions.
• Ensure IFRS 16 lease accounting and internal controls.
• Coordinate with auditors and supporting statutory audits.
• Drive process improvements and automation.
• Mentor and develop team members.

What you’ll be doing:

At Avon, we’re looking for an experienced and motivated RTR Supervisor to lead our Record to Report team and help deliver high-quality financial reporting across our CELL markets. This is an exciting opportunity to combine people leadership, technical accounting expertise, and process improvement in a dynamic, international environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial results, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting audits, and developing a high-performing team while contributing to the continuous evolution of our finance operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervising and supporting RTR Accountants across multiple accounting areas, including fixed assets, revenue, inventory, payroll, and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Managing the month-end close calendar and ensuring all reporting deadlines are met with accuracy and quality
• Reviewing and approving balance sheet account reconciliations
• Overseeing fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and related journal entries
• Reviewing revenue and cost accounting activities, accruals, reporting, and submissions
• Supervising inventory and obsolescence accounting, including provision calculations and cost updates
• Reviewing bank statement processing and account reconciliations
• Ensuring accurate lease accounting and IFRS 16 compliance
• Owning and monitoring internal controls within the RTR process area and supporting audit requirements
• Preparing quarterly certification commentary and participating in certification reviews
• Acting as the primary escalation point for finance stakeholders, Chief Accountants, Heads of Finance, and auditors
• Driving process improvements, automation opportunities, and standardisation initiatives
• Supporting statutory audit activities and coordinating with external auditors
• Conducting regular one-to-one meetings, setting objectives, providing feedback, and supporting the growth and development of team members

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting, ideally within a multinational organisation or Shared Service Centre environment
• Previous experience in a supervisory, team lead, or senior accounting position
• Strong understanding of Record to Report (RTR) processes
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Knowledge of IFRS and related accounting standards
• Experience working with ERP systems such as JDE/E1 or similar platforms
• Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching, developing, and motivating others
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Confidence working with stakeholders across different functions and locations
• Experience working in multicultural and international environments
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
