Job summary

Scale-X Solutions is seeking a proactive Solar Engineer to design, develop, and oversee PV and battery systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. This role is remote, with a morning shift and requires strong CAD/Python skills and knowledge of local electrical codes.

You will guide installation teams, review system performance, and ensure compliance while handling quotes and project scope discussions with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD OR Python, solar modeling software, and knowledge of local electrical codes.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Experience in a similar role and ability to work autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Create Solar PV array layout.
• AC, DC and communications cable path layouts
• Single-line diagrams, schematics and blueprints using CAD software.
• Battery systems: appropriate load to back-up.
• Guide installation teams
• Investigate system performance (Quality Assurance)
• Ensure compliance installation is installed as per compliance.
• Following up on quotes (not lead gen but discussing the scope of service in detail with the potential customer)
