Job summary

GitLab Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript) for the Duo CLI under the AI Clients group. This on-site role in Poland focuses on designing and building terminal tooling for developers, with emphasis on TypeScript across frontend and backend and guiding architectural choices.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with the Duo Client SDK and IDE extensions, and help improve reliability and performance. The Poland base salary range is 272,000–408,000 PLN.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and an interest in developer tooling and CLI design.
• Experience building or maintaining command-line tools or other developer-facing tooling.
• Experience owning technical problems end to end and guiding code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, and evolution of GitLab Duo CLI features from problem definition through rollout.
• Build interactive terminal experiences in TypeScript with careful command/flag design and backward compatibility.
• Drive reliability, observability, and performance improvements for the CLI.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineers across Developer Clients and AI Clients stage.
