Job summary

Sedona Digital seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to join our fast-growing scale-up. You will push cloud services forward using cutting-edge tech, drive automation, and mentor junior teammates within a collaborative environment.

You will work with Windows, Linux, Kubernetes hosting, and a broad stack including Istio, Kafka, ELK, and Terraform. Expect growth, learning, and strong emphasis on security and performance.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• 7+ years experience in Cloud (AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows and Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripts, Bash/Python scripting, Configuration Management and IaC (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, Networking.
• Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Commitment to observability and modern architectures; blue-green and canary deployments; CI/CD pipeline mgmt.
• Ability to self-motivate, learn quickly, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK, New Relic.

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of best practices and patterns for development and operations.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve processes.
• Monitor and improve CI/CD speed, safety, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain GitLab CI pipeline libraries.
• Assist developers with CI/CD setup and support issues.
• Stay updated with latest tools and trends in the industry.
• Provide senior-level recommendations for Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes hosting environments.
• Mentor junior team members and guide learning opportunities.
• Educate teams about platforms used and hosted by the group; include GitLab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio, Kubernetes, Kafka, ELK.
