Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking a Senior Specialist, MES Technical Deployment (Ignition) to configure, train, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the company's standard MES platform - Ignition. This role is remote with home office setup in Poland.

You will act as Ignition SME, supporting factories and distribution centers globally, collaborating with site engineers, production teams, and external providers. Travel internationally as needed; regular feedback and access to training are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with MES and Ignition platform.
• Ignition Certification (Gold preferred)
• Experience integrating MES with ERP/CMMS and other non-MES systems.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with MES platforms such as FactoryTalk, OpsCenter, Vorne, Mattec, or similar.
• Working knowledge of ANSI/ISA-95 and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Experience supporting testing procedures, system validation, and commissioning activities.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Configure, train, troubleshoot, and improve the Ignition MES platform.
• Act as Ignition SME, supporting global MES standards and site deployments.
• Collaborate with site engineers, production teams, supply chain and external vendors.
• Support implementations, upgrades, and stabilization at sites.
• Deliver user training and post-deployment support to improve adoption and data quality.
• Develop reporting and analytics for operational efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute to global documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Translate business needs into MES requirements and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and external partners.
• Some international travel to support site deployments.
