Job summary

Formula5 is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own production data platforms built on Snowflake, with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric. You’ll design pipelines, model data for analytics, and integrate AI into code delivery for a US client, with flexible hours and a remote setup.

You will work on architecture, testing and documentation, collaborating with Power BI developers and analysts, while mentoring other engineers.

Qualifications

5+ years building data pipelines and data platforms in production.
Strong SQL and Python skills.
Recent experience delivering end-to-end solutions, with AI-assisted code delivery.
Solid knowledge of data warehousing: star schemas, medallion architecture, ETL/ELT.
Ability to design scalable architectures for analytics and BI workloads.
Fluent English and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable data pipelines and platforms on Snowflake, and on Databricks or Microsoft Fabric where clients need it.
Model data for analytics and BI: star schemas, medallion architecture and semantic layers for Power BI.
Own quality, performance and cost, with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, testing and documentation.
Use AI assistants to write and review code, generate tests and document solutions, checking outputs yourself.
Work with Power BI developers, analysts and business stakeholders, and mentor other engineers.
