Job summary

Youriteams is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics tooling. The role covers Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI, with a focus on data quality, security and modernisation of legacy integrations.

You will work with Development, Cloud and Security teams to deliver reliable data solutions and enable data-driven decisions across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in data engineering, data warehousing or BI roles.
• Strong hands-on Snowflake or an equivalent cloud data warehouse.
• Proven Power BI experience including data modelling and dashboards.
• Experience ETL/ELT pipelines and legacy systems.
• Advanced SQL and data modelling (dimensional modelling; star schemas).
• Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP and cloud-native data services.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations.
• Develop data models and ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics and Power BI.
• Take accountability for quality, performance, and operations of data solutions.
• Champion AI-assisted tooling to enhance development speed and quality.
• Collaborate with Development, Cloud and Security engineering teams on secure data solutions.
• Troubleshoot data quality and integration issues across platforms.
• Maintain legacy data integrations while modernising where appropriate.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI for stakeholders.
• Engage with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Promote security-first design and governance compliance.
• Contribute to data architecture standards and best practices.
• Provide time/effort estimates and assist capacity planning.
• Partner with Cloud and Development teams to scale data platforms.
