Job summary

XM is seeking an AQA Python Team Lead to join our QA department. This role blends hands-on QA automation with leadership, guiding the team toward high-quality software and scalable automation frameworks.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with DevOps and product teams, and drive automation initiatives across the SDLC. Remote-friendly with international collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on QA experience.
• 2+ years in a QA leadership role, minimum 5 direct reports.
• Strong Python automation with frameworks and API testing.
• Experience building or contributing to robust automation frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, SDLC, Agile.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or equivalent.
• Basic Docker/containerization knowledge.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
• Experience with WireMock or MockServer for mocking.
• Performance testing with K6.
• Git proficiency for version control.
• Excellent communication, mentoring and organization.
• Very good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Act as the AQA Python Team Lead for a QA team with shift-left automation focus.
• Collaborate with Development to deliver high quality software.
• Design and develop the test automation framework and libraries; run auto-tests.
• Drive design and development of scalable, maintainable automation frameworks.
• Review/test plans and strategies; ensure code quality and CI/CD integration.
• Participate in architecture/design discussions to improve testability and quality.
• Work with DevOps, development and product teams across the SDLC.
• Identify training needs and promote knowledge sharing within QA.
