Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer to head our QA automation efforts for complex enterprise applications, APIs, and Big Data systems. The role combines hands-on Python automation with team leadership to ensure high-quality delivery across distributed data environments.

You will lead a team, design robust testing frameworks, and drive automation best practices while collaborating with product, development, and DevOps to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA automation with leadership in automation teams.
• Big Data testing and distributed data validation experience.
• Selenium browser automation with HTML/CSS/JS understanding.
• API testing using Postman and Python requests library.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive automation best practices.
• Experience using AI tools to enhance test design and coverage.
• English proficiency at B2+.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA automation team with mentorship and performance support.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust test frameworks using Python (PyTest/Robot Framework).
• Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting for web, API, and Big Data apps.
• Collaborate with Dev, Product, and DevOps to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure high-quality automation code with Git version control.
• Conduct code reviews and define automation strategy for new initiatives.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve test design and efficiency.
• Facilitate risk assessment and defect management for releases.
